The boring parts, done properly.
Payroll only has to go wrong once to cost you the trust of your whole team. TeamPay is built so the statutory work happens on rails, every period, across every site — with tax codes, NI categories and hours validated as you go, and an explicit approval step before any payslip, payment or HMRC submission leaves the building.
RTI, every pay run
Full Payment Submissions and Employer Payment Summaries are filed to HMRC as part of running payroll — not a separate job someone has to remember.
Tips, tronc & the Tipping Act
Native tronc with independent troncmaster arrangements and a per-tip audit trail, built around your obligations under the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023 and its statutory Code of Practice.
Pensions & auto-enrolment
Qualifying-earnings assessment, enrolment, opt-outs and contribution submissions handled each period — with direct integrations to Nest, The People's Pension and Smart Pension.
Statutory payments
Sick pay, maternity, paternity and shared parental pay, and holiday pay calculated as part of the run rather than worked out on the side.
Minimum wage, offsets included
Each employee's effective hourly rate is checked against the minimum wage for their age — after accommodation offset and deductions — with any shortfall flagged before the run is approved. The classic trap for live-in hospitality staff, caught automatically.
Data protection
Payroll is some of the most sensitive data you hold. TeamPay is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and handles payroll data under UK GDPR.
Tronc and troncmaster, native — not bolted on.
Tips and service charge are pooled and distributed by your own scheme rules and folded straight into payroll and payslips, with the audit trail the Tipping Act expects.
Nobody should have to guess what their payslip says.
Hospitality teams are among the most diverse workforces in the UK. Understanding your own pay shouldn't depend on how confident your English is — so TeamPay ships in 15 languages, including right-to-left support, rather than bolting on translation afterwards.
English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Romanian, French, Arabic, Bengali, Tagalog, Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam, Chinese and Haitian Creole.
Build on TeamPay — read and write, both ways.
The same API that powers our Rotaready, Bizimply and Xero connections is open to anyone with an account. Pull payroll data out, push data in, and get webhooks when something changes — no bespoke integration project required.

Frequently asked.
How does TeamPay keep payroll compliant?
RTI submissions (FPS and EPS) are filed to HMRC as part of every pay run, statutory payments and holiday pay are calculated within the run, and pension auto-enrolment duties — assessment, enrolment and contribution submissions — are handled each period. Tronc is built around your obligations under the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023 and its statutory Code of Practice.
Does TeamPay handle tronc and troncmaster?
Yes — tronc pooling, distribution and troncmaster logic are native to TeamPay, with a full audit trail. Tronc itself is included and managed in the platform as standard; independent troncmaster services are available as a separate, chargeable engagement if you want us to act in that role.
How much does TeamPay cost?
Payroll software starts from £2 per employee, per month, with no setup fees and no hidden costs — multilingual payslips, Nora and full API access are included. Fully managed payroll is an additional £6 per employee, per month, so from £8 all-in. Troncmaster services are quoted separately.
Is there human support, or just the AI?
Both. Nora handles everyday questions instantly, 24/7, in your team's language. Anything genuinely sensitive or unusual — a pay dispute, a leaver query, an edge case — is escalated to a real payroll specialist. With managed payroll, specialists run your pay cycles end to end.
How is our payroll data protected?
TeamPay is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and handles payroll data under UK GDPR. If you need to complete a security questionnaire or due-diligence pack as part of a tender, talk to us and we'll work through it with you.
Which languages does TeamPay support?
Payslips, onboarding documents and Nora's answers are available in 15 languages, including Polish, Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Bengali, Tagalog, Urdu, Hindi, Malayalam and Haitian Creole — with right-to-left support for Arabic and Urdu.
What integrations do you support?
TeamPay connects directly with Rotaready, Bizimply, Xero and other tools hospitality teams already run on, plus an open two-way API so hours and accounts stay in sync automatically.
